Oh Why NotTonight?” Original painting, 6”x6” extra deep canvas

Oh Why Not Tonight?” Original painting 6”x6” canvas is created in Acrylic with a palette knife. The palette knife is my tool of choice. This little painting has all the detail of my larger artworks including the layering of paint and the tool marks of the palette knife.
As I painted this small church I thought back to the times of my childhood. Visiting my grandparents small white country church. The building was so plain and simple on the outside. Inside were dark wooden church pews, a large furnace in the center of the room and hymnals filling the wooden pocket on pew in front of me. We sang. We sang a lot. I’m certain this song was sung in that small one room church building.
